BPKIHS vice-chancellor arrested
Kathmandu, 12 July ।
Dr. Rajan Kumar Rauniyar, Vice-Chancellor of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and the Institute’s Dr. Ramhari Rauniyar has been arrested on Thursday on a bribe of 800 thousand rupees.
A team deputed by the Commission for Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the anti-graft body, took control of them while they were bribe from service-seeker. CIAA was acting on a tip-off that Rauniyars were asking for commission from the service seeker for contracting a construction of the Institute for him to ask.
CIAA spokesman Pradip Kumar Koirala said that they were arrested by the Red-handed from the Vice-chancellors quarters in the Institute’s premises.
