90 thousand families affected due to flood, landslide and inundation: NRCS

About 452,000 people from 90,000 families have been affected due to flood, landslide and inundation due to heavy rain in the country’s various districts.

Similarly, 40 thousand houses have been damaged by the disaster, the Nepalese Red Cross Society, the initial assessment of the humanitarian organization. The NRCS collected primary data from its units in the most affected districts.

NRCS ‘Disaster Management Director, Mona Aryal said that the community’s trained volunteers are involved in the rescue and relief relief in the affected-affected districts. They are also carrying out fast search, rescue and relief distribution works as well as data collection.


NRCS has affected 374 trained volunteers and other volunteers in affected areas.
The Society has distributed tarpaulin sheets to 1,662 families and the complete set of relief materials to 310 families.


According to NRCS, State of State State of Siraha, Saptari, Rautahat, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Morang and Dhanusha districts is a preliminary fast survey. One of the natural disaster response experts is in each of these districts.


Similarly, information is being disseminated on water purification methods and prevention from snake bite in the affected areas.
