Nepal and China have begun between high-level official delegation talks. Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister KP Sharma have been leading delegations from China and Nepal respectively in the meeting which is focused on all aspects of Nepal-China relations.

 

The delegation led by Prime Minister Oli comprises senior-officials of the Ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs, Home, Energy and Irrigation; President Xi’s delegation includes Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation while Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Chinese Ambassador for Nepal, Ms Hou Yanqi.

 

Following the talks, bilateral agreements and a dozen memorandum of understandings are to be signed in the testimony of President Xi and Prime Minister Oli. The Chinese President arrived here on a two-day state visit on Saturday afternoon at the friendly street of President Bidya Devi Bhandari. This is the first state visit to Nepal by the Chinese President after 23 years.
