Xi’s state visit: Home Minister thanks security bodies

Kathmandu, 14  Oct ; Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has strengthened his success for security bodies in strengthening and effective security during the state visit by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The Chinese President has paid a two-day visit to Nepal on October 12 and 13.


During a meeting with security officials in his office today, the Home Minister said the security action plan was prepared and enforced for the visit was effective and it would send a good message about security to the world community.


Stating that security personnel dealt with the assigned responsibilities in a very good way, he commented that the visit was successful due to contributions from security personnel who had been formulating their roles in guarding the security policy.


 The Home Minister apprised the meeting that the Chinese side praised Nepal for its visit to the course in its security arrangements.
Stating that Nepal was committed to a one-China policy, it directed the security agencies to remain alert so as to revert to any kind of anti-China activities in Nepali language.


 He said the Chinese president’s visit was a historic one and would prove to be a milestone in Nepal’s economic, social and cultural development.
In this meeting, Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai also thanked security personnel for successful security arrangements, adding this experience would be helpful in the days to come.
