Relations with neighbouring countries taken to new height: Chair Dahal

Phidim, 22 Oct  :Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the relation of Nepal with two neighboring countries – India and China, has reached a new height.
Talking to media persons at Phidim today, Chair Dahal said, “Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Nepal visit and operation of Nepal-India petroleum pipeline have taken friendly relations with China and India to a new height.”
He said, “The relationship between Nepal and China has been further expanded and strengthened with the Chinese President’s visit to Nepal.”
Saying Nepal could take a huge advantage from the eagerness shown by Chinese President Xi in Nepal’s development, the NCP chair asserted that the operation of Nepal-India petroleum pipeline is not only a minor issue, it is taking issue between Nepal and India to new era.
He further said that an agreement has been reached between the ruling NCP and opposition Nepali Congress on Monday to finalize the transitional period of the cases as soon as possible.
Chair Dahal expressed the belief that the peace process would be finalized at the consensus of the victims of the armed conflict.
On a different note, he said that the NCP would go for a new campaign by organizing state-level orientation program soon, saying the unification task of the NCP has reached the final phase.
Talks were held with the Prime Minister and another NCP chair, KP Sharma Oli, on Monday in this regard, added Dahal.
Responding to a query of media persons, he said that the cabinet reshuffling is under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister. Chair Dahal expressed the belief that the government would move forward with new energy on the basis of ‘Foundation Year’, saying that the government has not been able to pay attention to the overall sides including its first year in development construction as it focuses on its focus.
