Actor Resh Marhatta to Star in a Chinese Feature Film
Kathmandu- China’s Moon Virtue Culture Media Company announced to make an Oil Painting of Gautama Buddha by a reputed Artist Mr. Wang Ming and make a docu drama and a movie on the same subject which is believed to strengthen the cordial relationship between China and Nepal.
In the recent press conference held in Kathmandu, the executive head and the producer of the movie Mr. Wu Zhizong stated that the movie will showcase the historical relationship and cultures between both the countries. He also said that the oil painting of Prince Siddharth Gautam will be made showing his body before he achieved Enlightenment sometime around 528 BCE and became the Buddha. After the completion of the oil painting, the painting will be gifted to the government of Nepal as a friendly gesture.
The painting will be made by the famous artist of China Wang MingYue in Lumbini, Nepal and the docu drama will be based on the real art done by MingYue and Shakyamuni Gautam Buddha. Wang MingYue, a famous and great contemporary realistic oil painter, will create a huge oil painting called the “the Awakened One under the Bodhi Tree” by 3mx3.3m. The piece of art shows the body image of Prince Siddhartha Gautama before he became Buddha, which is the real image of prince Shakya.
The docu drama will go on floor from coming March. After the completion of the docu drama, it will be released worldwide. The Chairman of the company Mr. Tang Yanfie believes that this docu drama will definitely help in the tourism of Nepal and the relationship between the two countries.
After the screening of the docu drama, the feature film will also be made on the same subject added Mr. Wu Zhizong. He also gave the hint that the film will revolve around the stolen oil painting that was made in Lumbini. Actor Resh Marhatta has been finalized for the lead role from Nepal in the movie which will be directed by Qu Yi. “We were very impressed not only by his acting skills and look but also his personality and mannerisms. We are very excited to cast Mr. Resh in our movie” said Mr. Wu Zhizong in the conference. He also announced that the official contract will be done in Beijing, China this month.
In the press conference Actor Resh Marhatta said he is really happy and proud to be a part of such talented and reputed team. He also added that this movie will aid in strengthening the relationship between Nepal and China. He also believes that the movie will promote the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal.
