Joint appeal for international cooperation against COVID-19

Kathmandu, April 3 : A joint appeal to fight against the COVID-19 has been issued by the political leaders from 193 countries including Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Friday.

The leaders have stressed on working together to combat the deadly pandemic of the coronavirus.

A 10-point appeal was issued by them saying the pandemic has become a threat to human health and civilization affecting economy of all countries.

The leaders have extended sorrow to those who lost their lives due to the pandemic across the country. They further urged the governments of the respective countries to adopt high alert and pay serious attention to the health of the people rather than other issues in this critical hour.

They also praised the efforts of China and other countries to control the deadly outbreak in time.

They welcomed the statement of the G-20 leaders. The statement further read that no one should make criticism affecting any nation, region and ethnic groups in this critical hour.

The governments across the globe have been urged to mobilize the resources forging coordination among all even for maintaining the economic stability and continuing supplies.

Leader Nepal is the former Prime Minister and chief of the ruling NCP’s Foreign Affairs Department.
