166 more individuals test positive for COVID-19 infection
Kathmandu, May 31 (RSS): A total of 166 more individuals tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.
In a regular press meet organized by the Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr Bikas Devkota said that COVID-19 infection was confirmed on 166 individuals in course of test carried out at different labs in the country. With this, the total number of COVID-19 infected individuals has reached 1,567 so far.
Of the infected, 162 are men and four are women. The coronavirus was confirmed on189 individuals on Saturday and 170 on Friday.
New coronavirus infected people confirmed on Sunday are 28-year-old person of Rishing of Tanahun, 27-year-old man and 40-year-old person of Galyang, Syangja .
Similarly, five persons from 22-years to 36 years are of Parsa district, 13 people from 19 years to 52 years are from Shubhakalika of Kalikot, five persons from 20 years to 42 years are from Maihad of Kalikot district.
Likewise, 18 people of Dailekh tested positive for coronaviurs, one person of Bajura, 25 of Salyan, and a four-month infant of Surkhet also tested positive for coronaviurs. The coronaviurs has been confirmed on eight people in Banke, 12 people of Rajgadh in Saptari, one person of Bhajani, Kailali, one of Janaki Rural Municipality and one of Trinagar, Dhangadhi.
Similarly, two-year-old girl and 23-year-old woman of Bajura also tested positive for coronavirus while the virus was confirmed on four people of Gaurigunj, Jhapa, and a woman of Biratnagar, Morang.
Twenty-one people of Dhanusha, four of Kapilvastu, 29 of Rautahat, 10 of Sarlahi also tested positive for COVID-19 infection.
The number of coronavirus infected people has reached 165 in State-1, 624 in State-2, 45 in Bagmati State, 23 in Gandaki State, 560 in State-5, 123 in Karnali State and 27 in Sudurpaschim State.
So far, a total of 220 infected people have fully recovered from the virus, the Ministry said.
