COVID-19: Infected tally crosses 2600, The death toll has reached 10

    Kathmandu, June 4 :   Altogether 334 new cases of Corona Virus have been confirmed in the latest update of laboratory tests carried out in various parts of the country. This takes the total number of infected in the country to 2,634.     

Of the new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours, 319 are men and 15 are women. It also takes the infection now to 65 of the 77 districts in the country, according to Ministry of Health and Population Spokesperson Dr Bikash Devkota.    


Likewise, 12 more people recovered from Corona Virus and returned home from different hospitals. So far, 290 people have recovered from the deadly virus.    


Furthermore, one people has been confirmed to have died of Corona Virus, taking the death toll to 10 to date, said Dr Devkota speaking at the daily press meet held at MoHP today. The person who had arrived from India five days ago was undergoing treatment at Mission Hospital of Tansen, Palpa. He had died on June 2.    


In the past 24 hours, 3,867 tests for Corona Virus were carried out through the PCR method and 5,185 through RDT methods.    


There are presently 161,262 people quarantined in various parts of the country.
