629 infection cases reported on Wednesday

  Kathmandu, June 24 :  A total of 629 new COVID-19 cases have been added in the country on Wednesday.     

The infected include 519 men and 110 women, said Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population at a regular press meet here. With this, the number of the Corona Virus infected people has hit 10,728 (9,634 men and 1,094 women).    


 Meanwhile, 114 infected people (106 men and eight women) have been discharged from various health institutions across the country in the last 24 hours after recovery, said Gautam. So far, 2,338 infected people (2,141 men and 197 women) have been discharged from various health institutions across the country.    


PCR tests of 6,828 people have been conducted in the last 24 hours and 12,112 have got RDT tests, he said, adding that 78,639 suspected people have been quarantined across the country and 8,366 kept in isolation.
