COVID-19: 316 new cases confirmed

Kathmandu, June 28 : A total of 316 new cases of coronavirus infection including 71 women have been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwor Gautam said in a daily press briefing on Monday. 

With the new number, the total infected ones from the coronavirus infection has reached 13,564. Of them, the number of male is 11,907 and 1,657 are female.


According to Dr Gautam, seven districts have more than 500 infected cases each. Those districts are Mahottarai, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Dailekh and Kailali.


Likewise, 60 people including nine women were discharged from the isolation centres after recovering from the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 3,194 individuals including 277 women have recovered from the coronavirus infection.


Dr Gautam shared that 15 men were discharged from Alpine Nursing Home in Sarlahi, 15 men from Saikrishna Isolation in Saptari, two men from Gandak Hospital in Parsa and one each from Karnali Academy of Health Sciences and Isolation Center in Kohalpur.


Furthermore, four from Jaleshwor Hospital, four men and two women from Koshi Hospital, three women and two men from Morang District Hospital, eight men from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, one man and one woman from Sunsari and one woman from Panchthar district were discharged in the last 24 hours.
