NC President and parliamentary party leader Deuba said it during the deliberation on Constitution of Nepal (2nd amendment) Bill, 2077 in the ongoing meeting of the House of Representatives today. He added all parties’ support for the Bill has shown national unity.

“Irrespective of the political parties and ideology, Nepalis are clear and united for the integrity and sovereignty of the country,” former PM Deuba said, adding that NC has support to the constitution amendment bill.

He further reminded that the party’s central committee had already decided to vote for the amendment of the constitution. The NC will have support to the efforts to be made in the future to retrieve the lands, President Deuba stressed.

The NC President further made it clear that the Sugauli Treaty 1816 has clearly stated that territory in the east of Kali River belongs to Nepal. Even the maps published by the English and Chinese have shown the same boundary, he added.
