Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the top leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to expand the scope and dimension of political relations at the government, people and the Communist party-level.

During his meeting with the NCP chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and party secretariat members as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Chinese president stated that he had an enormous support from the Chinese people. Due to their success leading to the right track on people and nation, and the same goodwill had been established as the people’s authority and had become popular.

On the occasion, the Chinese President congratulated Nepal for its political achievements, development endeavors and assimilating its distinguished efforts in supporting China’s Nepal’s development endeavors, NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha who also attended the meeting.

“The friendly relations between Nepal and China should be further strengthened. We have a good relationship since the past. This should be expanded with every level of mutual trust,” said the Chinese president, adding that mutual relations should be expanded. the government, people’s and party-level. “The scope and dimension of mutual relations should be taken forward at the political level as being the two communist parties.”

The Chinese president made it clear that the CPC came to this position not only because of the power gained since 1949 but also the discipline. “The Communist Party must focus on discipline, upon which socialism can be ensured. President Xi had a separate meeting with Chairman Dahal after the collective meeting.

The discussions have taken place at the level of the two parties as President Xi is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. NCP and Communist Party of China have signed an agreement in Kathmandu on September 24 on mutual relations of expansion between the two parties.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, other leaders and Ambassador of China to Nepal, Hou Yanqi were present during the meeting.

Bilateral talks have been held between the delegations of Nepal and China led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Chinese President respectively, following which various agreements have been signed between the two parties.

The agreement signed on September 24 mentions about high-level visits to the exchange, accelerating the ideological and political discussions and sharing the development models.

The agreement was signed by NCP Foreign Department Chief Nepal and CPC Foreign Affairs Department Chief Sung Tao in the presence of Prime Minister Oli, who is also the Chair of NCP and NCP another Chair, Dahal. An interaction was also held on Xi Thought on the occasion.

President Xi arrived here on Saturday on a two-day state visit to Nepal on a friendly visit of President Bidya Devi Bhandari. He is returning home today.
