Wife killed, husband seriously injured
Mahendranagar, Aug 1 (RSS): A woman was killed while her husband was seriously injured in an attack by an unidentified group at Bhagatpur in ward no. 7 of Belauri municipality last night. Belu Khati,55, died after being attacked by a sharp weapon while her husband Ghanashyam,63, was seriously injured, according to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
The incident seems to have taken at around midnight, where Belu was found dead and Ghanashyam seriously injured. Ghanashyam has been taken to Dhangadi for treatment, said DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The couple’s son Rajesh and local resident Dinesh Rana have been taken into custody for necessary interrogation.
